What Are Buddies?
Buddies occupy a dedicated slot separate from Partner and Support Digimon. They unlock at Stage 80 — you can stockpile Buddy units from gacha or pre-reg before then, but cannot equip them until the feature opens. Buddies provide passive combat bonuses and active skill support in auto 3v3 battles.

SS Tier — Agumon (Tai Ver.)
GameWith ranks Agumon (Tai Ver.) top tier thanks to a passive that raises counter rate up to +50%. At maximum limit break, counters can apply debuffs — strong in Battle Terminal and boss rushes. Every account receives one free copy from pre-registration; duplicates from the Buddy banner improve limit break tiers.
S Tier — Triceramon
After using a skill, grants up to +120% normal attack for five seconds. Best for Partners that rely on basic attacks rather than skill burst windows.
A Tier — Andromon
Raises team skill activation rate by ~48% — consistent value for skill-reliant Partners like Renamon → Sakuyamon.
C Tier — Taskmon
Post-skill +48% defense for five seconds. Outperforms Tyrannomon in the same defense-buff niche.
D Tier — Tyrannomon (Launch Banner)
Launch Buddy banner featured unit. Post-skill defense buff caps at +32% at max limit break — usable but outclassed by Taskmon. Pull for collection or Data-type coverage, not meta priority.
Buddy Investment Tips
Buddies level through base level (Buddy gacha duplicates) and limit break (duplicate copies). Daily Buddy banner allows one 10-pull for 3,000 Digi Emeralds — reasonable F2P path after WarGreymon SP reroll is settled.
Before Stage 80, store Buddies in inventory. After unlock, slot Agumon (Tai Ver.) first for most accounts. Cross-reference Reroll Guide — SP WarGreymon still outranks Buddy banner pulls for long-term account value.
