Buddy Slot Overview
Buddies are companion Digimon with their own skills and passives, slotted separately from your raising Partner and five Support Digimon. The Buddy feature unlocks when you reach Stage 80 — until then, units sit in inventory unusable.

How to Obtain Buddies
- Pre-registration / event Mailbox — Agumon (Tai Ver.) for all players
- Buddy Summon — 300 Digi Diamonds per pull; daily 3,000 Emerald 10-pull
- Limit-time banner — Tai & Agumon and Tyrannomon until Aug 5, 2026 (Buddy Banner)
- Battle Pass — Digital Boost Pass premium includes Buddy tickets
Growth Systems
Base level — raised with Buddy Souls from Digifactory Dungeon and camp dungeons; increases stat contribution.
Free Buddy milestones — raising base level unlocks five Buddies without gacha (GameWith): Tyrannomon (Lv1), Taskmon (Lv30), Mammothmon (Lv60), Andromon (Lv100), Triceramon (Lv150).
Limit break — duplicate copies unlock higher passive tiers (Agumon counter rate, Tyrannomon defense buff, etc.). Requires ~30 total copies for max 10-limit-break.
Dimensional Box — unlocks Stage 160 (server Day 3+) and requires a Buddy equipped in your team.

Team Building With Buddies
Buddies add a third layer after Partner stats and Support passives. Agumon (Tai Ver.) suits counter-heavy metas; Triceramon boosts normal-attack Partners; Andromon helps skill-spam lines.
Do not over-invest in Tyrannomon unless you enjoy the unit — Taskmon provides stronger defense buffs at lower acquisition cost in the generic pool.
SP WarGreymon (Stage 125) and Buddies (Stage 80) solve different problems — build Supports first, Buddy second, SP last for optimal F2P pacing.
